Shortly after starting at Briar Cliff University, the library began an iPad check-out program and I became the point person for the project. The initial planning and set-up can be found in this article I wrote for the C&RL News April 2011 issue. A few months after that, I was promoted to Director of Educational Technology and spearheaded a project to bring over 500 iPads to campus for faculty and freshmen.
At the Mortenson Center for International Library Programs, I was the training coordinator and project manager of an intensive library leadership program for librarians from several different countries. I contacted speakers, scheduled sessions, and reserved locations for the six-week long training. I led weekly discussions with the participants and organized a group conference presentation for the Illinois Library Association.
Recently Briar Cliff University’s Library began a redesign of its website. I worked with the library director and new reference librarian to organize user experience interviews, website surveys, and prototyping activities.
